Read: Luke 17:20-25
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
There is a kingdom that cannot be seen with the eyes.
There is a kingdom that cannot be touched with our hands.
There is a kingdom that cannot be tasted by the tongue or smelt by our noses.
But this kingdom can be seen by the heart.
This kingdom can be felt by the mind.
This kingdom can be tasted by our words.
This kingdom is fragranced by our actions.
The kingdom of God is not some far away land or some distant dream where everything is perfect.
The kingdom of God is here and now.
That is what I believe that Christ is saying to the Pharisees in these verses.
As Christians, we eat, sleep, breathe and live our lives daily in His kingdom.
The kingdom of God is all around us.
The kingdom of God is only made visible to others through us.
We are the kingdom of God.
