Lost

It’s been a while since I have linked up at Five Minute Friday. I have had other things on my heart and my mind. Other things that I have wanted to share, but today I thought that it would be a nice change to join in with this community of writers. Today’s prompt: Lost.

GO

Lost
Alone and scared
Running from
She knew not what
But running
Always running
Hiding
Looking
Hoping for a way out
Hoping to find a path
That would lead her home

Lost
Alone and scared
Running toward
She knew not what
But running
Always running
Searching
Looking
Looking for herself
Looking for who she is
A place to call her own

Found
No longer alone
No longer scared
No longer running
She has been found
No longer searching
No longer hiding
No longer looking
She has found her way home

Found
By the One that she didn’t know she was looking for
By the Lover of her soul
By the One who could lead her home

Found
By His mercy
By His grace
By His love

Praise the Lord!
She has been found!

    1. Thank you, Laura. I’ve been writing more poetry since I read Making Manifest by Dave Harrity. I think I might be starting to think that way too.

  3. I Love your poem. Very nice.
