The Single Life: What Would You Do?

If you knew that you only had one month to live, what would you do?

If you won a million dollars, what would you do?

If money was not an issue at all, what would you do?

As singles, we have this incredible opportunity, and yet many times we don’t grasp it.

We sit. We wait.  We listen to the world tell us that we are incomplete and that we don’t matter and that without someone we are no one.

We put all of our hopes and our dreams into wanting to be married. We sit back and believe that when we get married that’s when we can truly begin to live our lives.

We don’t see the opportunity in front of us.

If there were no such thing as marriage, what would you do?

If you knew for certain that you wouldn’t ever marry, what would you do?

I have been going round and round with these questions this week as another fledging relationship bites the dust.

What if marriage isn’t in the cards for me?

What if I just have myself to plan for? No family of my own, just me? What then?

What are the Lord’s plans for me?

What direction does He want me to move in?

Am I to keep blogging, and how am I going to pay for my website hosting at the end of the month?

All these questions are flying around in my head and no answers.

I have this wonderful opportunity in front of me…to do anything that I feel the Lord leading me to do and yet still I sit and wait.

That is why I’m starting a new journey…a new chapter in my life, a plan to discover exactly what the Lord has in store for me, what my God-sized dream is….without marriage.

And you are invited to join me.

Starting Monday, I will be sharing with you as I read through You Are Made for a God-Sized Dream, and I will be including a link-up for those of you who want to join me.

Whether single or married, we all have hopes and dreams, and now is the time to explore them. Stop putting them off, and waiting for life to be perfect. Do it now.

If my plate wasn’t already super full, I would love to join you on your God-sized dream journey. I read the book earlier this year and am working on some pretty cool God-sized dreams as we speak. 🙂 Will be praying for this new season and journey– thanks for sharing your thoughts over at #EverydayJesus!
