To live a life full of joy and wonder
To live a life of love so that others may see God’s love for them through me
To live in peace with myself and others
To live under God’s grace and to grant grace to myself and others when we fail
To live in gratitude for the blessings that God has bestowed and for the lessons learned through suffering.
To live a life of kindness and generosity using the gifts that God has given me to bless others
To live a life of self-discipline and self-control so that God may use me
What do you choose?
Life is about choices. The choices that we make today are the choices that design our tomorrow.
I can choose to live in self-pity and depression, or I can choose to fight my out of it. (Notice the use of the word “fight.”)
I can choose to live in hatred and condemnation, or I can choose to live in love and transformation.
I can choose to live fighting myself and others, or I can choose to live in peace and acknowledge that there are times we just need to agree to disagree.
I can choose to live believing that the world owes me something, or I can choose to live in gratitude for the things I already have.
I can choose to live in greed, or I can choose to live in kindness and helping those in need.
I can choose to live in laziness and sloth, or I can choose to live in self-discipline and control and see the Lord’s plans for me unfold.
It is my choice. No one else can make the choice for me.
Yes, things will happen to us that we have no choice about like losing a job or finding out we have cancer. But we have a choice in how we respond.
How do I choose to respond when a loved one says something hurtful?
How do I choose to respond when someone cuts me off on the road?
How do I choose to respond when my boss fires me?
How do I choose to respond when my life seems out of control?
Life is all about choices. I choose…
